Sample Dock 0.7.2 Beta
Windows · Desktop + VST3 ·Sample Dock by Red Harbor Studios
Formerly Sample Manager. The new name retains the existing local catalog, settings and VST3 identity. Existing installations update in place; source audio remains untouched.
The official Red Harbor Studios artwork is now included in the desktop app, native browser and Windows icons.
Desktop + VST3 browser
- Search across your folders, with favorites, tags, collections and filters.
- Preview WAV, FLAC, AIFF, MP3, OGG with waveform, seek, loop and volume controls.
- Drag samples into your DAW from the desktop app or the shared local VST3 library.
- A quieter, producer-focused sample list that keeps the most useful details in view.
Local analysis and similar sounds
- Faster, unified analysis: one Analyze library action processes loudness, BPM/key, sample type and similarity data together in a single local pass.
- Review files that need attention and search for sounds similar to a selected sample.
Installer
- Upgrades from earlier Sample Manager installations update in place and keep your library.
- Installation no longer flashes console windows; the VST3 component asks for administrator permission once.
Desktop 0.7.2 · VST3 0.7.2.0
Beta limitations
BPM detection, key detection, similarity quality and sample-type classification are Experimental. Check analysis results by ear.
VST3 browser currently tested primarily in FL Studio. Compatibility with other DAWs has not been verified.
Tested so far: install and upgrade on our development machine, plus automated install, update and uninstall checks. Not yet tested: a full install-to-uninstall cycle on a clean Windows machine, and reopening archived FL Studio projects saved before the rename.
The beta installer is unsigned. Windows may show a SmartScreen warning. VST3 installation requires administrator permission.
No account required. Sample audio stays local.
